Our Story

28 Years of Power.
One Standard of Excellence.

Founded in Alameda, California in 1997, CTE Energizing Solutions began as a two-engineer firm specialising in industrial substation design. Today we are a full-service power infrastructure company with 140 engineers and technicians serving clients across 14 states.

Built on
Engineering Integrity.

CTE was founded by Robert Chen and David Okafor, two senior engineers who left a national utility to build something different — a firm where engineering decisions were never compromised by commercial pressure.

That founding principle still governs every project we take on. We refuse engagements where we cannot deliver to our quality standard, and we have turned down contracts worth millions because the scope wasn't right.

The result: 28 years of operations with zero reportable safety incidents and a client retention rate of 94% — numbers we are proud to stand behind.

What We
Stand For

Engineering Integrity

We never recommend a solution we would not stake our professional license on. PE-stamped drawings, full documentation, no shortcuts.

Safety First

28 years. Zero reportable safety incidents. Our safety programme exceeds OSHA requirements and is third-party audited annually. Every field team member holds current NFPA 70E certification.
